Glennie Price Chappell

DURHAM- Mrs. Glennie Price Chappell, 85, passed away on July 25, 2021.

Mrs. Chappell was born July 25, 1936, to the late Oscar and Alice Price. Glennie was a past member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved reading, as well as being in the kitchen cooking good meals. She really enjoyed crosswords, word search, and puzzles. Glennie loved her family and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Glennie is preceded in death by her husband George Edward Chappell; son, Larry T. Chappell; brothers, Tommy Price, Donald Price, Curt Price, and Earl Price; and sisters, Ruth Boyette and Shelby Jean Massey.

Glennie is survived by her sons, David E. Chappell (Amy) and Randy Chappell (Laura); daughter, Teresa C. Duke; grandchildren, Daniel Chappell, Angela Chappell, Heather Wood (Shawn), Jordan Chappell, Samantha Chappell, and Michael Duke; and great-grandchildren, Kristine Elliott, Samantha Benitez, Brooklyn Wood, and Ryder Wood.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Allison.
