Clyde R. Sorrell

DURHAM- Mr. Clyde R. Sorrell, 74, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Sorrell was born April 19, 1943 in Durham, NC to the late Ralph and Alma Sorrell. He graduated from Southern High School. Mr. Sorrell was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and a charter member at Lynn’s Crossroads Ruritan Club. Clyde served the Lord singing gospel music for over 25 years. Mr. Sorrell proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.Mr. Sorrell is preceded in death by his wife of 32 glorious years, Sharon Parrish Sorrell, his parents, Ralph and Alma Sorrell, and grandson, Harrison Ciasto.Mr. Sorrell is survived by his children, Wendy Auman (James), Parrish Livingston (Christine), Paige Ciasto (Leigh); grandchildren, Christian “CJ” Auman, Katelyn Auman, Madison Nygard (Justin), Cody Lanphere, Morgan Ciasto, Noelle Ciasto.A visitation will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Living Waters Christian Community Church 1104 Lynn Road, Durham, NC 27703. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Living Waters Christian Community Church 1104 Lynn Road, Durham, NC 27703. Officiating will be Sr. Pastor Ron Watts and Rev. Betty Bunn. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
