Coma Lee Carpenter Ferrell

DURHAM- Coma Lee Carpenter Ferrell, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2016, her husband, Wade Ferrell’s birthday. Wade has predeceased her and so had her parents, Hubert and Fannie Carpenter. Also predeceasing Coma Lee are her sisters, Audrey Rigsbee (Lawrence) and Emogene Cheek (C.L.)
She is survived by four daughters left to cherish her memory, Kay Woods (Earl), Polly Haugland (Dene), Betsy Paschall (Don), Beverly Markham (Albert); grandchildren , Talmadge Woods (Amie), Heather Smith (Walt), Jody Haugland (Jennifer), Nikki Simpson (Butch), Stephanie Morris (Brian), Chad Copley (Heather), Brooke Berneking and 18 great grandchildren.
Coma Lee was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife (66 years married to Wade). She loved the Lord and was a charter member of Shady Grove FWB Church, where she served quietly in many areas including the Benevolence Committee.
Taking care of her family, family dinners and gardening were some of her greatest pleasures. She was a great Christian servant and quiet example for all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Shady Grove FWB Church. Burial will be in Shady Grove Church Cemetery. Pastor Tim McCreight will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Talmadge Woods, Jody Haugland, Walt Smith, Chad Copley, Brian Morris and Butch Saunders.
The family will receive friends on Monday April 18, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
