Cynthia Elane Crowder

Ms. Cynthia Elane Crowder, 69, passed away April 10, 2023.

Cynthia was born April 17, 1953, in Durham, NC to the late John Edward Crowder and Julia Overbee Crowder. In addition to her parents, Ms. Crowder was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Crowder. 

Ms. Crowder is survived by her nephews, Randall Crowder and his wife, Christy Crowder and Timothy Crowder and his wife, Kimberly Crowder; great nieces, Katie Crowder, Amy Elizabeth Crowder, and Lagina Marie Crowder; great nephew, Randall Ray Crowder Jr.; and several great-great nieces and nephews. 

Cynthia was a teacher and was loved by many. She taught at Gorman Christian Academy in Durham, Friendship Christian School in Raleigh, and at Living Waters Christian Academy. She also taught in Durham Public Schools for a while. She loved all of her students and coworkers. Cece had a deep love for Christ and dedicated her life to serving him.

A memorial service for Cynthia will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 123 Olive Branch Road, Durham, NC 27703.
