DURHAM- Darlene Sue Boothe Baker, 56, of Durham died on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Joetta Boone Boothe. She worked as a Supervisor for the Emergency Dispatch Call Center of Public Service Co. (PSNC) for fifteen years. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Earl Baker, her father, Rupert Boothe of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one son, Andrew Spray of Charleston, SC; one step-son, Randall Baker of Timberlake; two daughters, Yvonne Young of Newark, Ohio; Joetta Shepard of Charleston, SC; one step-daughter, Leia Andrews of Raleigh; one brother Rodney Boothe of Pickerington, Ohio; one sister, Shannon Shannon of Johnstown, Ohio; eight grandchildren, C.J. Atherton, Trea Atherton, Drew Young, Memphis Baker, Phoenix Baker, Savannah Andrews, Avery Andrews, Carson Andrews, and two more soon to arrive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Wheeler will officiate. There will be a private burial for the family at Markham Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2809 Shaw Rd.
