Darrin Lee Owens

BUTNER – Mr. Darrin Lee Owens, 53, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Murdoch Development Center Infirmary.

Mr. Owens was born November 29, 1967 to Frank Rochelle and Mary Owens in Oxford, NC. He was a happy go lucky person and was very lovable. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew and friend.

Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his brothers, Craig Owens, James Owens and Robert Owens.

Mr. Owens is survived by his mother, Mary A. Owens of Durham; father, Frank Rochelle of Reidsville; brothers, Corey Owens of Timberlake, Anthony Owens of Burlington and David Rochelle of Raleigh; sisters, Angela Barnes of Fayetteville, Ashley Harris of Oxford; Kim Rochelle of Creedmoor; aunt, Rebecca Owens of Durham and numerous other family and friends.

A special thank you to Vivian Harris, Felicia Hogan, Wanda Dunston, Albert Vass, Priscilla Wortham and the staff of Murdoch Developmental Center for their care.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Irvin.

Flowers are acceptable.
