David Lewis Travis

DURHAM- David Lewis Travis, 73, passed away Saturday December 1, 2018.

Mr. Travis was born February 13, 1945 to parents Frederick and Irene Travis in Orange County, New York. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Travis was an accomplished guitarist and keyboardist. He was a published song writer for which he won many awards and accolades in the music industry. Mr. Travis loved to entertain residents with his music at senior centers in the area and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Irene Travis.

Mr. Travis is survived by his wife, Lynn Crawford Travis; sons, David Adrian Travis (Christy) of Durham, Scott Jason Travis of Creedmoor; brothers, Robert Travis (Valerie), Mark Travis; grandchildren, Morgan Lynn Travis (Jacob Lockhart), Scott Jason Travis II.

Visitation will be held Wednesday December 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
