David Scott Syvinski

DURHAM Mr. David Scott Syvinski, 68, of Durham, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 28, 2016.
Mr. Syvinski was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of the late Matthew Frederick Syvinski and Mary Elizabeth Jackman. He lived most of his life in Kansas City, Missouri. He had lived in the Raleigh-Durham area since 2007. He was passionate about catch and release fly fishing, KU Basketball, and mastering cooking. He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Coleman Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Applegate; and son, Matthew Syvinski; three brothers, Bruce Bridenball, Stephen Bridenball and Stuart Bridenball.

As per his wishes, a private cremation and family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial tribute donation may be made in David’s name to The Nature Conservancy, http://www.nature.org.
