Deborah "Debbie" Gantt

Debbie Kellam Gantt, 67, of Broad Creek, North Carolina, went home to be with her heavenly father and earthly father, Roy Kellam, on November 27, 2023. Debbie had been battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis for over 9 years, and died from complications from her double lung transplant surgery at Duke Medical in Durham, NC

Debbie will always be remembered for her quick wit, humor, determination, and her unwavering faith. She loved music and conversation. She was an excellent cook, artist, and avid reader. Debbie loved living on the Crystal Coast and was a true Tar Heel!

She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Byron Gantt, her children Zachary and Erin, grandsons Hunter and Tyler, her mother, Margaret Kellam, sisters Barbara and Kay, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of great friends.

A memorial gathering is planned at a later date.
