Deborah Caviness Hobbs

Deborah Caviness Hobbs, 70, of Durham passed away November 23, 2022, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was born April 30, 1952, to the late Samuel Wade and Lillian Brown Caviness.

Deborah worked many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Duke University Medical Center until her retirement. She loved spending time at the lake with family and friends. She loved nothing more than taking care of her two dogs, Bo and Maggie May. Mrs. Hobbs will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by everyone that was blessed enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Hobbs; brothers, Wayne Caviness and Warren Caviness.

Deborah is survived by a son: Everett Fuller, Jr. (Kristie) of Oxford, NC; daughter, Tammy Carnell (MaryAnn) of Hillsborough, NC; grandchildren, Dustin Carnell, Bryson Carnell, Tanner Carnell, Brock Fuller and Connor Cannon; great grandchildren, Trinity Carnell, Kaylin Mangum, Isabella Carnell, Darren Carnell, Amelia Carnell and Adalynn Carnell.

A private family service has been held.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a local ASPCA organization.
