Delmar Elliott Hamilton

DURHAM- Mr. Delmar Elliott Hamilton, 94, passed away November 2, 2018.

Mr. Hamilton was born October 1, 1924 in Hendersonville, NC to Albert and Bess Hamilton. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Hamilton owned and operated his own used car company. He was a Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Hamilton will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bess Hamilton; wife, Mildred Lee Satterfield Hamilton; brothers, JT Hamilton, Albert F. Hamilton, Jr.

Mr. Hamilton is survived by his daughters, Brenda Hunt (Gary) of Leland, NC, Marcia Tovar (Armando) of Durham, NC, Ann Farmer (Frank) of Angier, NC; sisters, Colleen Burke of Louisville, KY, Lillian Welch of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Leah Tovar, Trenton Tovar, Jessica Spencer; great-grandchildren, Elliot Tovar, Kimble Spencer; and his beloved dog Molly.

Funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 6, 2018. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service. Officiating will be Rev. David Duncan. Pallbearers will be Sidney Welch, Michael Burke, Scott Burke, Landon Welch, Kevin Burke, and Karl Boyd.
