Dianna Lassiter "Dee" Utley

Dianna Lassiter “Dee” Utley, 83, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away March 31, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Utley was born on March 11, 1940, in Durham, N.C. to the late James Edward Lassiter and Ethel Browning Lassiter. Mrs. Utley was an active member at First Love Community Church in Hillsborough (formerly West Durham Pentecostal Church), for many years. Mrs. Utley loved taking care of her family and cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Mrs. Utley was employed at Crown Volvo as a cashier for many years. Her favorite pastime was feeding the wild birds and tending to her flower garden. She also enjoyed camping and fishing.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Utley is preceded in death by her husband of many years, C. T. Utley; brothers, Jimmy Lassiter, Billy Lassiter, and Tony Lassiter; sisters, Barbara Hackney and Theresa Wilder.

Mrs. Utley is survived by her son, Curtis Thompson (Clara) of Bracey, VA; daughter, Karen T. Riley (Tony); brother, Jerry Lassiter (Theresa) of Roxboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Elisha Riley, Dana Crowder (Josh), and April Lewis (Michael); great-grandchildren, Alaina Riley-Wingler, Chloe Lewis, and Josiah Crowder. She is also survived by her special friend, Mr. Clarence Goss.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Reverend Greg Long.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Dale Lassiter, Scott Lassiter, Keith Lassiter, Gavin Bell, Hershel Turnage, and Charles Bonham.
