DURHAM- Dolphus Hall Bordeaux, 75, of Durham died on Monday, October 21, 2013. He was the son of the late Roy Howard Bordeaux and Marietta Hall Bordeaux. Mr. Bordeaux served in the U.S. Army. He loved fishing and was also a member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lillian “Lillie” Boyte, two brothers Eugene (Gene) Bordeaux and James (Jimmy) Bordeaux.
He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Bordeaux Smith (Larry) of Rougemont; and Michelle Bordeaux Boyte (Cory) of Winston Salem; one brother, Frank Bordeaux (Billie) of Durham, one sister, Elizabeth “Anne” Holt (Jimmy) of Durham; four grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Collin Smith, Hannah Boyte and Eva Boyte, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at Durham Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Ed Denton and Rev. Don Westbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Durham Memorial Baptist Church, 133 Robbins Rd. Durham, NC 27703 or Soltys Adult Day Health Center, PO Box 8181 , Hillsborough, NC 27278, Attn: Alvonia Baldwin. .
