DURHAM Mr. Donald “Red” Edward Andrews, 94, of Durham, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.Mr. Andrews was born in Wake County. He retired from the Durham Bus Station where he was a ticket agent for Greyhound and Trailways. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir. Red was a member of the Bethesda Ruritan Club and was very proud of having more than 50 years of perfect attendance. He was a member of the Bethesda Volunteer Fire Department. He was very active in the Bethesda community and was known for his bird houses he would build. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Louise Andrews.He is survived by his two daughters, Cynthia A. Watson and husband, Doug and Donna Keeton and husband, Warren; grandchildren, Brian Murphy and wife, Julie, Michelle Grigston and husband, Andy; great-children, Jarrett Murphy, Brycen Murphy, Maddie Grigston and Summer Grigston.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be on Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
