Donald Hagan

DURHAM -Mr. Donald L Hagan went home to be with his Lord peacefully on July 27th, 2020.  Mr. Hagan was born on October 5, 1935 in Wilson, North Carolina to Robert and Julia Hagan. He retired from Umstead Correctional Center in Butner, NC. He worked in Heating and Air for 50+ years.

Mr. Hagan was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Julia Hagan; sisters Dorothy Hill, Joyce Ferrell, brother Robert E Hagan.  His is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loretta Ellis Hagan of Durham, NC; daughter Patrice Beck (Tommy) of Stem; sons Darren Hagan (Rhonda), Chris Hagan (Denise) of Durham, grandchildren, Kyle Beck (Stephanie), Kristen Freeman (Drew), Trevor Beck, Jonathan Hagan, Auston Hagan, Hunter Hagan, great grandchildren Jaydain Beck, Peyton Beck, Kinley Freeman, Abel Freeman and Conway Beck. He was active at Bible Baptist Church, Creedmoor, NC for many years and prior at Grove Park Chapel and Gospel Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Greg Allison. Burial to follow at Hopson Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Drew Freeman, Jonathan Hagan, Greg Ferrell, Greg “JR” Ferrell, and Jessie Roberts.

In lieu of flower, memorial contributions can be made to the Bible Baptist Church Gate Landscaping Beautification Project at 2047 Gate 2 Road, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
