Donald James Kelly

DURHAM-Mr. Donald James Kelly, 74, of Durham died on Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was the son of the late Donald P. Kelly and Pauline Kelly. Mr. Kelly served in the USMC in the Korean War. He was a mechanic “ground equipment” for RDU Airport, also a member of Pontiac Oakland Club. . He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard H. Kelly.He is survived by his wife, Frances Kelly of Durham; two sons, Brian Kelly of Durham; Richard H. Kelly of Asheville, NC. Three step-children, Tommy Mills (Nancy) of Apex; Lisa Terrill (Matt) of Apex, Michael Mills (Tisha) of Durham. Two step-grandchildren, Brittany Mills of Nashville; Brandon Mills (Alex) of Durham; two grandchildren, Richard H. Kelly, Jr. and Jeremy Kelly. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Forest Gale will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
