Donnie Calvin Hobbs Sr.

Mr. Donnie Calvin Hobbs, Sr., 77, passed away, November 26, 2021 at Duke Hospital in Durham.

Mr. Hobbs was born November 3, 1944, to the late Roy and Estelle Brigman Hobbs in Durham, North Carolina.

Donnie loved NASCAR racing, hunting, and his dog, Buster. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work.

In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bass Hobbs; brothers, Stanley Hobbs, Colon Edward Hobbs, and Fredrick Hobbs; and sister, Linda Jacobs.

Mr. Hobbs is survived by his son, Donnie Calvin Hobbs, Jr., and wife, Tracy of Oxford NC; daughters, Cindy Hobbs of Durham, Wendy Hobbs Rigsbee and husband, Bryan also of Durham; grandchildren, Taylor Leigh Brooke Hall and George Matthew Rigsbee.
