Donnie Rayvon Faircloth, 71, of 2022 Crockett Ridge Road, died on Monday, March 29, 2010. Mr. Faircloth was a native of Harnett County, the son of the late Lloyd and Betty Mathews Faircloth. He retired after 40 years from Duke University. He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church in Durham. He was a member of the NRA and a Honorary member of the N. C. Sheriffs’ Association. He was much loved by his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Ann Faircloth; two sons, Sammy Cooper and wife, Lynsey of Terrell, Tex. and Ray Faircloth and wife, Michelle of Clayton; two daughters, Laura Harris and husband, David, of Mebane and Angelia Syal and husband, Samir of Apex; two brothers, Gerald Faircloth of Buffalo, N. Y. and Glenn Faircloth of Durham; four sisters, Carolyn Gentry and Annette Bullock, both of Youngsville, Linda Morris of Conway, S.C. and Doris Bozeman of Longwood N.C and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
