Doris Lucille Walters

DURHAM Mrs. Doris Lucille Walters, 90, of Durham, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
Mrs. Walters was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late C.E. Fletcher, Sr. and Beulah Francis Fletcher. She retired in 1985 after 40 years from the American Tobacco Company as a Packer. She enjoyed bowling when she was younger. She was a great daughter, sister, wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Boggan Walters; brothers, Norman, C.E. Jr., John Wesley and Gordon Fletcher; sister, Marie Fletcher Carden.
She is survived by her son, Steve Walters; brothers, Michael Fletcher and wife, Linda, Harold Fletcher and wife, Teenie and Claiborne Fletcher; sister, Brenda Morris and husband, Walt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Gerald Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ernie Batchelor, Seth Roberts, Trent Roberts, David Fletcher, Scott Morris and Brian Morris.
