Dorothy Arnold McCann

Dorothy McCann, 100, passed away peacefully on March 9th at the Peak Resources Nursing home in Durham, NC. She is predeceased by her Husband of 69 years, Bernard McCann, who passed in August of 2006, a Son, Thomas, of Lafayette, IN, and a Granddaughter, Carol Tokar of Jacksonville, Dorothy was born in Ridgewood, NY on March 25,1916. She married Bernard on July 2,1937 and they lived in North Bellmore and Massapequa
Park on Long Island, NY and then moved to CT in 2001 living at Windham Fall in Groton, CT. Dorothy worked for many years in the medical records department of the Nassau County Medical Center. She is survived by
her Son, John and his wife Iris of Durham, NC. Grandchildren: Timothy and his wife Lisa, of Oxford, IN, Michael, and his wife Ann of N. Stonington CT, Brian of Pearland TX, and Christopher and his wife Stephanie of Apex, NC. Great grandchildren Kelly, Karley, Jakob, Jerred, Emily and Garrett and Great Great grandchildren Mackenzie and Rissie. Hudson Funeral Home in Durhan and Dinoto Funeral Home in Mystic are in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held in CT at a later date. Internment will be at the Elmgrove Cemetery in Mystic, CT.
