Dorothy Ann Elliott Baker

DURHAM- Mrs. Dorothy Ann Elliott Baker, 87, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019.

Mrs. Baker was born January 3, 1933 to Jacob and Nannie Belle Elliott in Durham County, NC. She was a graduate of Lowes Grove and was a member of the Masseys Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Baker loved to garden and to cook. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Nannie Belle Elliot; husband, Carlyle Franklin Baker; brother Henry Elliot.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter, Sharon Adams (Neal)of Bahama, NC; brother, James Elliot of Durham, NC; grandson, Ryan Adams (Sarah) of Durham, NC.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Massey’s Chapel UMC (7222 Fayetteville Rd., Durham, NC 27713). Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019. Officiating will be Pastor Cheryl Brown. Committal immediately to follow at Massey’s Chapel UMC Cemetery.
