Dorothy Boyd

Durham-Dorothy Erexson Boyd, 81, of Durham passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011. She was the daughter of the late John Edward Erexson and Maude Phelps Erexson. Mrs. Boyd was a longtime member of Carr United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Boyd, Jr., two brothers, Wallace Erexson and John Linwood Erexson.She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Boyd Fox (David) of Hillsborough; Jenny Boyd Brusino (Greg) of Raleigh; one sister, Ruth Cole of Durham; sister-in-law, Ruby Erexson, four grandchildren, Jared Linthicum (Rebecca), Stacy Fox Keatts (Matthew), Haley Brusino and Joseph Brusino and one great-grandchild, Emma Jane Linthicum.Dot was a woman of many talents and abilities and gave freely of herself to family and friends. She was an excellent cook, loved the beach and fishing. She was a person who loved God and shared her faith openly. She meant the world to her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
