Dorothy Mae Rudd Dunn

DURHAM- Mrs. Dorothy Mae Rudd Dunn, 88, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019.Mrs. Dunn was born May 29, 1930 to Willis and Rosie Rudd in Wake County, NC. She loved to cook for her family and lived her life for her family. Dorothy loved flowers and wild birds. She will be lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.Mrs. Dunn is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Rosie Rudd; husband, Samuel Wesley Dunn; brother, Zelner “Pete” Rudd; sisters, Ardelle “Penny” Faison, Linda Garner; grandchild, Jennifer Wilkins Woods.Mrs. Dunn is survived by her son, Richard Dunn (Lynn) of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Peggie D. Miller (Robert), Carolyn D. Wilkins of Durham, NC; sister, Suzie R. Page of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Vickie Wilkins Evans (Howard) of Sneads Ferry, NC, Christopher Dunn (Stephanie) of Mukwonago WI, Samantha Dunn of Raleigh, NC; 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
