Dorothy Chappell Francis, 94, of Durham, North Carolina passed away at home on Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born in Durham, NC to the late Buddy and Nannie Chappell on August 19, 1929.
In addition to her parents Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, James Francis; 2 infant children and sisters, Nellie Teasley and Nannie Skipper.
Mrs. Francis was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Tom Ashley; sister, Margaret Chappell and other loving family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M. A Private Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, NC.
