Edith Mae Harris

Edith Mae “Nana” Harris, 70, passed away Saturday January 5, 2019 in Odessa Texas where she had been living.

She was born in Durham North Carolina on May 26 1948 to Branson Edward Harris and Lillie Mae Lynn Harris. Edith had three lovely children. Edith worked as a housekeeper at Econolodge. She was a live-in home health provider and a cook at Lynette restaurant. She loved fishing, traveling with family, and collecting dolls and puzzles. Edith loved her family and they loved her endlessly. Mrs. Harris was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her mother and father. Her sister Joyce Brogden and two brothers Jack and Eddie Harris.

Edith is survived by her sons, Mike Buchanan (Nancy) of Wake Forest, NC, James Buchanan (Deborah) of New Hill, NC; daughter, Georgia Moulder (Lonnie) of Odessa, TX; brother, Donnie Harris (Margaret) of Pittsboro, NC; sister, Betty Gray of Bonlee, NC; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; lots of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Alonzo Wilson.
