Eleanor Williams Stone

Mrs. Eleanor Williams Stone, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Stone was born June 3, 1934 to the late Major and Madie Williams in Selma, NC. She enjoyed baking, collecting miniature rocking chairs and teddy bears. Mrs. Stone loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, M.D. Williams; grandson, Ben Chambers.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband of 71 years, William “Bill” Stone; son, Steven Allen Stone; daughter, Sherry Ann Stone; sister, Joyce Mitchell; brother-in-laws, Kenny Stone (Becky), Randy Stone (Teresa); sister-in-law, Carolyn Stone Briggs; grandchildren, Clint Chambers and Misty Hunt and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Van Lilly.

A visitation will be held at the home of Randy and Teresa Stone.

Flowers are acceptable.
