Elizabeth Ann Benson Mathews

DURHAM Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Benson Mathews, 86, of Durham, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Mrs. Mathews was born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clyde Benson. She retired from Amphenol Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Mathews; brother, Lynn Benson and sister, Doris Earp.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Mathews and Timmy Mathews; daughter, Clydia Hoffacker; grandchildren, Carla Mathews Farmer, Jamie Mathews Johnson, Megan Mathews Eastman, Timmy Mathews and Jennifer Mathews Hughes; 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Johnny Hewett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
