Elizabeth Ennis Stell

CREEDMOOR Mrs. Elizabeth Ennis Stell, 83, of 510 West Hillsboro Street, Creedmoor, died on Monday, December 26, 2011.Mrs. Stell was a native of Wake County, the daughter of the late Irving Ennis and Allie Mae Bowling Ennis. She lived in Durham for many years before moving to Creedmoor. She retired from the American Tobacco Company. Mrs. Stell was a member of Angier Avenue Baptist Church and the Polly Anna Sunday School Class. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Stell in 2000 and a brother Tommy Ennis. She is survived by her son, Wesley “Wayne” Stell of Henderson; one daughter, Diane Jenkins of Creedmoor; one sister, Lela Massey of Raleigh; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kevin Byers. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Wake Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Wake Forest. Active pallbearers will be Marvin Harris, Chuck Mitchell, Julius Lee, Mike Wood, Randy Jones and Chuck Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Duane Gordon.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable.
