Jerry Day Ferrell

DURHAM- Ms. Jerry Day Ferrell, 75, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her daughters home after a brief and courageous battle with brain cancer.
Jerry was born January 19, 1943 to the late Edward and Hazel Day of Durham, NC. She retired from Wells Fargo after working in the mortgage banking industry for over 30 years. Jerry loved horses, reading, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Jerry will be remembered as a supportive and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hazel Day and loving companion, Sunny.
Jerry is survived by her daughters, Amanda “Mandy” Lloyd (Danny), Lisa Mangum (Tony); son, Ty Ferrell; grandchildren, Jenni Mangum, Lindsay Ferguson (Chad), Jessica Upchurch (Dustin), Jana Pendley (Andrew), Madison Lloyd and Haley Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Carsyn Wheless, Olivia Ferguson and Owen Upchurch; a loving companion, Koji.
The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Duke Hospice for their great care and support. In addition, the family would like to acknowledge and say a very special thank you to her granddaughter, Jenni, who took exceptional care of her during her illness.
