DURHAM Mrs. Elva Armina Jackson Cagle White, 93, of Durham, passed away on Wednesday, March 08, 2017. She was a former resident of High Point.
Mrs. White was born in Guilford County, the daughter of the late Thomas Lee Jackson and Donna Malava McCauley. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and the BBC Primetimers. She was a past member of Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church in High Point. She was preceded in death by her husbands, G. C. Cagle and Worth White; daughter, Barbara Anne Hester and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Kay McBroom and husband, Freddie of Durham, and Brenda L. Nicks of Oxford; sons, Douglas Wayne Darr, Marshall G. Cagle of Greensboro; step-daughter, Sandy White and stepsons, David White and Ronald White all of High Point; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. Burial will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Floral Garden Cemetery, 1730 English Road, High Point, NC 27262.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Freddie and Linda McBroom, 1834 Stage Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
