DURHAM Mrs. Etta Mae Chambers, 87, of Durham, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.Mrs. Chambers was born in Person County to the late Everette and Maude Oliver Carswell. She worked for several years at Burlington Industries. She attended Northgate Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Budd Chambers; two sisters, Evelyn Verbos and Geneva Coates. She is survived by three sons, Bobby Chambers and wife, Joan of Hillsborough, Bruce Chambers and wife, Dianne of Simpsonville, S.C. and Wallace Chambers and wife, Sue of Bahama; one half-brother, Leuell Fryar of McLeansville, N. C. and 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Keith Spake. Entombment will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m., before the service, at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Wallace Chambers, 6611 Stagville Road in Bahama. Flowers are acceptable.
