DURHAM -Eugene Chamberlain Bailey, 69, of Purvis Rd. died on Friday, October 21, 2011. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Joseph Bailey, brother, LeRoy Bailey, two sisters, Nancy Connell and Peggy Grady.He is survived by a dear friend, Joyce Pennell, one son, Robert Bailey (Wife) Dawn of Durham; three daughters, Monica Boyd (Husband) Kurt of Creedmoor; Toni Pleasants (Husband) Jeff of Rougemont, Beth King of Wilmington; grandchildren, Zac, Drew, Clay and Hannah Boyd, Jonathan and Sarah Pleasants, Krissy Smothers, Robyn Perry, Cyndi Bailey and Rebekah Bailey.Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Randy Haynes and Rev. Mike Underwood will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens .The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Monica Boyd, 104 N. Charles Street, Creedmoor, NC 27522. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
