Eula Mae Harrell Poole

DURHAM Mrs. Eula Mae Harrell Poole, 85, a former resident of Durham, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. at the Pittsboro Christian Village.Mrs. Poole was born in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Jesse James Harrell and Selma Coker Harrell. She retired from Guaranty State Bank as a Teller. She attended Grove Park Chapel. She loved baking cakes, sewing and traveling. She was preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey M. Harrell.She is survived by her son, James Poole and wife, Mary Ann of Durham; one daughter, Cynthia Yerby of Bahama; brothers, Richard Harrell of Graham and Bobby Harrell of Burlington; one sister, Sylvia Harrell of Burlington and a granddaughter, Leigh Ann Blake of Durham.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dale Brooks. Interment will be at 1 p.m., following the service at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
