Evelyn Cash Adams

MORRISVILLE Mrs. Evelyn Cash Adams, 92 of 3111 Page Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2011. She was a very loving and caring person to her family and friends.Mrs. Adams was born on May 29, 1919 in Wake County. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Blanche Sorrell. She owned and operated the North Durham Food Center for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Adams and her first husband, Gordon Lee Cash.She is survived by her three daughters, Betty Jean Johnson (Tommy) of Henderson, Ann Goss (John) of Morrisville and Shirley Griffiths (Russell) of Wake Forest; 10 grandchildren, Debbie McCullen, Cindy Ferrell, Kristi Montgomery, Dawn Edwards, Janet Willis, Judy Powell, Jennifer Price, Joy Woods, Greg Smith and Brad Smith; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Mt Hermon Church Cemetery on Cemetery Road. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3111 Page Road.
