Forrest Edwin “Ham” Burgess

DURHAM Mr. Forrest Edwin Burgess “Ham”, 89, of 968 Wait Avenue, died Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Mr. Burgess was a native of Durham and was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Dorothy S. Burgess. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.
Surviving are his children, Preston L. Burgess and wife Judy of Durham; Diane B. Royster and husband, Darrell of Youngsville; grandchildren, Eric Royster and wife Julie; Ashley R. Keith and husband, Trey; three great-grandchildren; W. H. Keith IV, Bryce Royster and Brinkley Keith.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 4th at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park with full Masonic rites by Mr. Arthur Byrd.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside services, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 4028 Wiggins Rd. Youngsville, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
