Frances Porch Mangum

DURHAM Mrs. Frances Porch Mangum, 74, of Durham, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.Mrs. Mangum was born in Northampton County, NC to the late Curtis and Ida Hobbs Porch. She was a self-employed Beautician. She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mangum, brother, Keeter Porch and a sister, Maxine Dowles.She is survived by one son, Tommy Mangum and wife, Ruby of Durham; one daughter, Paula M. Elliott and fiancée, Dana Ripley of Durham; two brothers, Cleaton Porch of Weldon and Buster Porch of Roanoke Rapids; one sister, Mildred Porch of Gaston; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Bryce and Jordan and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brooklyn and Noah.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church at 4304 Bahama Road in Rougemont. Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Paula Elliott, 6612 Deerview Trial in Durham.
