Frank Alexander “Alex” Wilkins, 19, of Granville County died on Monday, January 1, 2018.
He attended Red Mountain Baptist Church and RTP Community Church through his life. He was Baptized at Christian Motocross Camp. Alex raced Motocross and won several motocross championships. He loved to play jokes and had a great sense of humor; there was never a dull moment in his presence. Alex was very loving and would do anything for his family. His heart was pure and made of steel. Alex was our protector. He will be remembered as a fun loving outgoing young man who will be missed deeply by everyone blessed to have known him.
He is survived by his mother, Sherry A. Faulkner and father, Frank A. Wilkins; siblings, Summer Wilkins, Frank Wilkins II, Ashley Wilkins, Blessing Wilkins; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Viola Wilkins; maternal grandmother, Deloras Williams; maternal great-grandmothers, Lillie Williams and Lee Gandy; nephew Jaden Mitchell and Brantley Bussey and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Red Mountain Baptist Church. Pastor Dave Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brother, Frank Wilkins and Nick Batten, Luke Batten, Chuck Batten, Jesse Roberts, Seth Hicks, Timothy Viktora, Frank Demeo and Baylen Oliver.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
