Garry Gerome Belfield

Garry Gerome Belfield was born on February 27,1955 in North Hampton County, North Carolina to the late Clairene Belfield. He departed this life peacefully on June 29, 2016.
Garry completed his education at New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, New York.Garry will be remembered as a loving husband and father who helped many people. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had an opportunity to have known him. Garry retired in 2013 after 30 years of dedicated service from the New York City Transit Authority as a train operator. Garry was also a devoted committee member of Pelham Affairs, which created a host of social events for thousands of New York City Transit employees. Garry’s zest for life spilled into the hearts of many friends and loved ones and anyone he could impart an encouraging word into. Garry’s dream to reside in Raleigh, North Carolina was obtained but shortened by his departure. However, his dreams will be fulfilled by those he touched.
Garry is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Casandra L. Carter Belfield; three daughters, Nina Belfield, Karina Belfield and Tatiana Belfield; two brothers, Duane Belfield and Fabian Belfield; three sisters, Leonette, Shenna Shelia; Garry was preceded in death by his mother, Clairene Belfield and a sister, Jackie Belfield. In addition Garry was survived by a very large host of family members, friends and colleagues.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11am at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Rev. Johnny Hewett will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
