Gary Martin Edgerton

FRANKLINTON Mr. Gary Martin Edgerton, 69, of 1673 Fern Hollow Drive, died on Monday, June 3, 2013.Mr. Edgerton was born in Durham to the late Robert Martin Edgerton and Clarice Royster Edgerton. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He retired as District Sales Manager with Carolina Distributors. He was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor. He was a member of the Knap of Reeds #158 Masonic Lodge, Sudan Shriner, 32nd Degree Scottish Rites, York Rite and Sudan Legion of Honor. He was an honorary member of the Creedmoor Masonic Lodge and a member of the Orphans Lodge at the Masonic Home for Children. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, antique cars, corvettes, and loved beach music. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Whitfield Edgerton; son, Branden Bass of Creedmoor; daughter, Lori Edgerton Parrott (Rodney) of Stem; sister, Patsy Edgerton (Sam) of N. Myrtle Beach and four grandchildren, Katelyn Parrott, Karley Parrott, Michael Bass and Maggie Bass.Memorial services will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. before the service at the funeral home and other times at the home, 1673 Fern Hollow Drive.
