WATSONDURHAM Mr. George Edgar “Pete” Watson, 62, of Durham, died on Monday, February 14, 2011. Mr. Watson was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of Nellie Watson and the late Luther “Luke” Watson and Ramona Lucas. He was a member of Yates Baptist Church and the Triangle Hunt Club in Durham. He was formerly employed as a Drafting Architect. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rusty Rhoton.He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Watson of Durham; three sons, Chris Watson and fiancéeNichole of Cary; Jamin Watson and William Watson both of Durham; step-mother, Nellie Watson of Durham; two brothers, Dale Rhoton of Holden Beach and Scotty Rhoton of Durham; three sisters, Kim Heath of Holden Beach, Terri Nelson of Anna Maria Island, Fla., Denise Vreeland of Raleigh and a granddaughter, Ashlynn Watson. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Yates Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Don Gordon and Dr. Preston Heath.
