George High Ross Hammock

Mr. George High-Ross Hammock, 93, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Carillon Assisted Living, whoe became like family.
Mr. Hammock was born August 6, 1925 to the late William and Alma Hammock in Durham, NC. He also had two brothers who he joined in Heaven; Buddy and Bill Hammock. He was a man of strong faith and worked hard for many years as a successful small business owner.
Mr. Hammock is preceded in death by the love of his life and soulmate, Virginia Hammock lovingly known as “Peach”; His loving niece Jo Ann Ferrell recently became an Angel beside him.
George will forever be remembered and loved by his best friend and great niece Ginger Hester who will forever be his “Snapper”. Her three children Makailla and Savanna Slocum as well as Allison Crabtree. He is survived by his niece, Wanda Westbrook; nephew, Wayne Jeffries; He also had a daughter, Barbara Jean Swearigen.
Memorial services will be held 2:30, Monday, January 21, 2019 at Carillon Assisted Living. Officiating will be Chaplain Margaret March.
