Geter Gilbert Wilson

DURHAM- Mr. Geter Gilbert Wilson, 81, of Durham died on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was the son of the late Alex Wilson and Florence Sturgile Wilson. Mr. Wilson served in the US Navy.  He retired from UNC Hospital after 25 years of service as a Chief Electrician. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church, he also loved fishing and was a member of Dave Overman’s Fishing Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sally Norma Dellinger Wilson, son, Geter Eugene (Gene) Wilson,  one brother Ralph Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Trumbo, two sisters, Anna Kate Cook and Barbara Watts (Bobby), brothers, J.E. Wilson (Amaryllis), Robert Wilson (Evelyn), Willard Wilson (Ann), Frank Wilson (Mary Emily), Arthur Wilson (Nina), David Wilson (Janice), sister-in-law Charlene Wilson.

Memorial services  were held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church. Rev. Phil Mumford  officiated.  A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.
