Gladys Lural Davis Ferrell

DURHAM- Mrs. Gladys Lural Davis Ferrell, 93, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Mrs. Ferrell was born September 17, 1926 to the late John and Bertha Davis in Cumberland Co., NC. She loved flowers, sewing, cooking and working on puzzles. Mrs. Ferrell was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the newspaper. She enjoyed trips to White Lake and Emerald Isle. Mrs. Ferrell will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Mrs. Ferrell is preceded in death by her husband, Zannie “Max” Ferrell; parents, John and Bertha Davis; brothers, Harry Lee Davis (Elsie), Wilber Davis (Jo), Glenn Davis (Yvette); sister, Lettie Lou Merritt.
Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her sons, Ronald Wesley Ferrell (June), Robert Alan Ferrell; daughters, Lisa Tilley (Wayne), Donna Ferrell and Debbie Ferrell Ball (T.P.); brothers, John Wesley Davis, Jr. (Martha), Bobby Davis (Patricia), Donald Davis (Brenda), Ken Davis (Shirley Hayes); sister, Dorothy Denny; grandchildren, Davis Ferrell, Devan Ferrell, Lindsey Tilley Blackwell (Lee) and Sadie Ferrell.
A visitation will be held January 8, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Turnbough.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions can be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
