ORANGE-Mr. Guy Winston Allen, 76, of 1961 Kennedy Circle, Hillsborough, died on Monday, April 25, 2011. He was the son of the late Eulis Allen and Amy Addison Allen. Mr. Allen was a surveyor for 48 years for Credle Engineers-Surveying. Mr. Allen will be dearly missed by his family and friends for the love that he gave them. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James, William, Floyd & Bobby, 2 sisters, Sylvia and Louise.He is survived by his wife, Shirley McLamb Allen, 1 son, Billy Allen of Hillsborough. 5 daughters, Diane Baker (Wayne) of Rougemont; Deborah Smith (Kevin) of Peachland, NC; Peggy Mitchell (Reverend Steven) of Creedmoor; Sheila Going (Jay) of Durham; Crystal Lamb (Jack) of Roxboro; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steve Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wayne Baker, Jr., Timothy Baker, Robbie Baker, Justin Baker, Joshua Smith and Jay Going. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1961 Kennedy Circle, Hillsborough. Flowers are acceptable.
