Gwenyth Catherine Robinson left her earthly body to be home with the Lord on December 1, 2016.
She is survived by her parents, Andy and Jenna Robinson; her brother, Ned Robinson; and her grandparents Robert and Karen Kerr and David and Ardyce Robinson. She is also survived by her aunt, Charlotte Robinson and her uncle, Nic Ashley.
Gwennie was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Despite her health problems she was sweet, feisty, and determined. A fighter until the end. She loved her orange paci, tummy time, and being wrapped tightly in the arms of her family. She enjoyed trying out new hairstyles and nail polish with Mom, playing “got your nose” with Dad, and watching Ned’s antics.
In her short life, Gwennie participated in three scientific studies to help improve health outcomes for future children.
Funeral services will be held at Christ Baptist Church at 400 Newton Road, Raleigh NC 27615 on Thursday, December 8th at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duke Children’s Hospital, Office of Development, 710 W Main Street, Durham, NC 27701
“For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 5: 1-10
