DURHAM- Harold Lloyd Driver, 81, of Durham died on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was the son of the late Jessie Dewey Driver and Betty Lewis Driver. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Driver retired from Mutual Distributing Co. after forty five years of service as salesman and sales supervisor. He was a Charter member of Oak Grove Masonic Lodge #750, Sudan Shriner, Triangle Racing Pigeon Club and founding member of Oak Grove Athletic Association. He was also a member and deacon of Page Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Delilah Massey Driver and Dot Page Driver, and one brother Louis Driver.
He is survived by two sons Jeffry Driver of Winston Salem; Bradley Driver (Frankie) of Raleigh; one daughter, Gwen Johnson (Jimmie) of Durham; one step-daughter, Cheryl Caddell (Jim) of Durham; two brothers, Glenn Driver and J.D. Driver of Middlesex, NC; two sisters Jacqueline Murray of Raleigh; Naomi Johnson of Middlesex; one step-grandson, Kyle Caddell of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Page Road Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Bond and Kyle Caddell will officiate. Graveside will be at 1:30 p.m. at Rocky Cross Holiness Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Murray, Jr., Millard Page, Wesley Smith, Ben Albaugh, Jeff Albaugh, Jim Caddell, Ricky Glasgow and Lewis Ray, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at 1304 Patterson Rd. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
