Harold Lee Wade

Harold Lee Wade, 81, of Durham passed away December 8, 2022, at his home. He was born in Person County on June 8, 1941, to the late Robert Ellis and Mary Turner Wade.

Mr. Wade worked with NC Department of Transportation for 25 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator prior to his retirement. Mr. Wade loved working around his home and doing yard work. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers; Eugene and Ernest Wade; sisters, Ophia Day and Irene Williams.

Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley King Wade; sons, Doug Wade of the home and Danny Lee Wade of Durham; brothers, Richard Wade (Kathleen), Robert Wade (Dorothy), Randy Wade (Mary); sister, Betty Lou Evans; grandchildren, Darian Wilson, Brooklyn Moraski, Nora Gardner and Jasper Gardner.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Reverend Tim Wheeler.
