Harry Lee Propst

DURHAM- Mr. Harry Propst, 84, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Propst was born May 13, 1938 to the late Rozzell White “Brown” and Nora Kathleen Morris Propst in Rowan County, North Carolina. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Propst was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Durham. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Mr. Propst loved taking his grandchildren on trips and spending time with them. Mr. Propst will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Daisy Yost (Everette).

Mr. Propst is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joleen Kimball Propst; daughter, Donna Vickers (Todd); son, Eric Propst (Crystal); grandchildren, Travis Propst (Kristin), Megan McLendon (Ryan); great-grandson, Hudson Propst and other numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Chappell, Bob Feltey, Jim Goodwin, Mike Green, Mike Green, Jr. and David Ernsthausen.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Ben Krey. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens with military honors.
