Hazel Allene Holcomb Davis

DURHAM Hazel Allene Holcomb Davis, 95, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. The daughter of William S. and Mary Frances Holcomb was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas Arthur Davis, as well as a daughter, Joyce Annette Baucom. She was a retired home health sitter and a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Curtis LaVern Riddle and Tommy Arthur Davis, Jr., both of Durham; daughters, Brenda Allene Logner and Mary Lee Jones, also of Durham. She is also survived by her sister, Luvenia Lawson of Texas; 9 grandchildren: Tammy and Angel Logner; Teresa, Andrea, and L. D. Baucom; Michelle Joyner; Sandy Cobb; Richie Jones; and T.J. Davis; 10 great-grandchildren: Heather Walker; Justin Logner; Hunter Wall; Mackenzie and Caleb Chamberlin; Crystal, Holly, and Hope Davis; Caroline and Ashley Jones; and great-great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Champion.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Hudson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Johnny Hewett officiating. The burial will take place in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Boogie Christmas, Skeeter Logner, Justin Logner, Hunter Wall, Dillon Yarboro, Dunk Yarboro, and Logan Hill.

The family will receive friends at Hudson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, from 6 to 8 pm and at other times at the home of Mrs. Davis. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
