Helen Louise Sullivan

DURHAM- Ms. Helen Louise Sullivan, 96, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

Ms. Sullivan was born August 22, 1922, the only child of Herbert J and Louise Lindsay. She was born in the Bronx, NYC, NY. She worked in several different factories while raising her family in NY, and has lived in Durham, NC, for over 30 years.

Helen loved working in her yard and being in the mountains where she enjoyed hiking. She enjoyed thrift stores, antiquing, and crossword puzzles. Helen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nana, and will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched during her wonderful life.

Ms. Sullivan is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, John, as well as her son John K.

She is survived by her children: Edward “Yank” Sullivan, Billy “Josh” (Liz) Sullivan , Maryann (Wyatt) Richardson , Jeannie (Danny) Pesce , and Robert “Sully” (Colleen) Sullivan; grandchildren: Jason (Emily) Sullivan , Billy Sullivan, Suzanne Sullivan, Christina Richardson, Jennifer Richardson, Wyatt (Brooke) Richardson, Jr. , Daniel (Liz)Pesce , Jessica Pesce, Johnny Sullivan, and Stacey Sullivan; 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, 2019. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
